Our story
Why we started.
Every year, thousands of students choose a course and a university with very little real guidance. Some follow friends, some follow rankings, and many only find out a year in that the fit is wrong.
Digital Global Village was founded to change that. Our counsellors take the time to understand each student, look honestly at their options and build a plan that connects what they study to where they want to go.
We're focused on helping students into Malaysian universities today, and we advise on study abroad when it's the better fit. Alongside counselling, we're building a line of digital consumer products.

Meet the founder
Salmoon
Salmoon is the founder of Digital Global Village and the thinking behind everything it does. An entrepreneur who has been based in Malaysia for many years, he understands the country's education system from the inside, and he has seen how much a student's future depends on getting early decisions right.
He started Digital Global Village to give students honest, personal counselling at a price anyone can reach, which is why a first session costs five dollars. He leads the company's counselling and admissions work, and its expansion into digital consumer products.

A counsellor helps you decide what to study, where to study and why, based on your interests, strengths, results and budget. We can help you understand application requirements and the next steps set by the institution.
What happens in the introductory consultation?
A private online call of about 30 minutes. We talk through your background and goals, answer your questions, and give you a short written summary of your options and next steps.
Do you only help with Malaysian universities?
Malaysia is our current focus, and where most of our students go. We also advise on studying abroad when it's the better fit for your goals.
I don't know what career I want. Can you still help?
Yes. That's exactly where career counselling starts. Most students we meet haven't decided yet.
Can my parents join the session?
Of course. Many families prefer a joint session, and we also offer sessions for parents on their own.
How early should I start planning?
Ideally six to twelve months before your intended intake. That leaves time to explore careers, apply and get your student visa without rushing.
How do I pay for a session?
PayPal, debit or credit card, Malaysian online banking (FPX or DuitNow), or an international transfer such as Wise. You choose when you book.
